2020 felt extremely bleak, with the COVID-19 pandemic in full
swing, and the need to stay home rising. Come Happiness, in
Waves started as a demo project by Philadelphia’s Avery Adler.
Setting up a primitive, small recording space in the corner of their
living room. Adler would write, record, mix, and finally release
demo songs in one day. From March until June of that year, 3 EPs
were released, “CHIW”, “GLASS”, and “For My Friends, Family, and
Loved Ones”, totaling 9 songs, each song added the day after
the previous.
Three years later, Adler joined fellow musicians within the
scene to re-record seven of the nine demos for release in 2024.
Compiled into Come Happiness, in Waves' first true release under
the same name.
